6月19日、Challengers EMEA Playoffs – Week1- Day2、Fnatic VS FunPlusPhoenixが行われた。EMEA地域からは計3チームがMasters2へと進出、ここを勝てばMasters進出権が確定する重要な戦いである。相手のFunPlusPhoenixは2022 VCT Stage1にてEMEA1位となった強豪チーム。ウクライナ情勢を顧み、Masters1の出場ができなくなるなど、結果的に双方ともに情勢に影響を受けたチームの対戦となった。Stage1ではPlayoffs Upper Bracket Finalにて直接対決を行い、0-2で敗北している。
FnaticはBraveAF、Magnumに変わり、Enzo、Alfajerがロースターに参加。Alfajerはデビュー直後から凄まじいスコアを量産し、注目プレイヤーとなった。だが、この2名が参加後のStage2では、グループステージ無敗でプレイオフに進出となった。

1stMapアイスボックスはFPXがヨルを採用、だが、それに揺さぶられることなくFNCペースが続いた。9-3で折り返し、そのまま13-6で試合をFnaticが獲得した。
2ndMapアセントは双方ともに似たピックとなり、差はレイズとセージとなった。FPXはノーデュエリストで構成を作り、双方互角に試合を進め、OTの末、12-14でFunPlusPhoenixがマップを獲得した。
3rdMapフラクチャーでは素晴らしい守りの完成度を魅せ、9-3で折り返し、その後、FPXが一度流れをつかむものの、最後はFnaticが締め、試合を決した。
マップカウント2-1で前回王者を破り、Masters2進出を決めた。逆の山ではGuild EsportsがM3 Championsを破り、Masters2への進出を決めており、次はGuild Esportsとの対戦となる。
新たなメンバーの加入したFnaticがMasters2にてどのような試合を魅せるのか楽しみだ。
